Verifiable records for inference on a mesh of strangers
Sixteen short pages, one per topic. Each page has the same five parts: what it is, the design choices, what it shows and what it does not, one real example with its fields, and the specifications behind it. Each page has one animation of the mechanism; every page opens offline. The last five, from the September deck, add a sixth part: the status of each piece today, with its source.
- 01The problem: a stranger node A node you have never met serves your request. What each check shows, and what it does not.
- 02Agent Action Capsule Digests, not payloads. Request/response binding, epoch chaining, the inference_completion effect.
- 03COSE and deterministic encoding The COSE Sign1 envelope, and why two implementations must hash identical bytes.
- 04Canonicalization-declared payload binding A signed statement names its canonicalization so a verifier can recompute the binding.
- 05SCITT: statements, receipts, transparency Signed statements, transparency services, and what a receipt shows.
- 06Checkpointed local log and MMR Each node keeps its own log, signs checkpoints, and registers them later.
- 07Bilateral attestation and settlement Two parties, neither trusted, each seal what they saw; a verifier derives agreement.
- 08Bundles and selective disclosure Packaging records for a verifier, and withholding fields without breaking signatures.
- 09Evidence grades Self-attested, witnessed, countersigned: re-derived by the verifier, overclaims reported.
- 10Mesh-LLM capsules plugin What each node records, how peers exchange records, and the referee for marked pairs.
- 11Limits What a verified key means and does not, and the routes beyond self-report.
From the September deck
- 12Who can check what: three vantage points The same records checked locally, by the other party, and by anyone with the evidence file.
- 13Every capsule type Each record the mesh plugin seals, one line each, with its status in the source today.
- 14Twin verdicts and peer history Twin, compare, referee, verdict, the per-peer counts, and the opt-in stop-routing rule.
- 15The evidence report One exchange as a file a stranger checks offline: what they can check, and what they cannot.
- 16One model split across peers Each stage seals what it passed on; the coordinator cites every stage.
